Alita Constructions wins Best Public Use Building Award

Alita Constructions were awarded the Best Public Use Building ($5-$10 million category) for the construction of the Amaroo Village Senior’s Clubhouse at the elite 2021 Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards on Saturday the 17th of July.

Completed in November 2020, the state-of-the-art senior’s clubhouse located in Gosnells has a unique rammed earth design encompassing a cafe, a commercial kitchen, residents’ lounge, internal dining for 124 people and external dining, an arts and craft room, library, salon and an activities centre. The first floor of the building also includes new office facilities for the administration team.

With an amazing effort by all involved, this complex project was completed in 54weeks!

Alastair Kleyn, Director of Alita Constructions concedes that this is exceptional with all things considered ‘we were right in the midst of the covid19 pandemic on this project however with the perseverance and support of the subcontractors, the client and our team, we delivered the project to a very pleased client.’ Alastair continued ‘We understood the importance of the building and the level of community it would bring to the residents, so it was important that we made the process very smooth for them.”
