The team at Alita Constructions were blessed to have hosted 21 year 10 students enrolled in the 2021 Armadale Aspire Program yesterday.
The program, run by the City of Armadale, partners local businesses with high schools within Armadale to offer a group of Year 10 students more opportunities to develop their careers through workshops and industry excursions, increasing their job readiness.
Alita Constructions provided students with an insight into the career opportunities available in a commercial construction company, with various team members sharing their job requirements, experience and insights.
The students then visited one of our local construction sites here in the Forrestdale Business Park, a design and construct project for Reiner Earthmoving.
Donned with Hi-Vis, the students were given a tour of the construction site by the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator and Site Supervisor.
It has been really insightful to see how lively the construction industry is in our area and to hear from Alastair about how it doesn't matter where we come from but what we do with our lives.

The Alita Constructions team really enjoyed partaking in the program and strongly encourage other business owners to partake in future events like these. It provides a great opportunity to encourage, share and educate young people in the community about the trade/profession you are passionate about, especially because these young adults are the future of our local businesses.
